Brant County Twin Pad Community Centre

The recently completed Brant County Twin pad arena aims to be a LEED Silver certified complex utilizing the latest in building automation, with control of CO2, CO, HVAC, and various BACnet interfaces including a direct connect to the CIMCO refrigeration plant. Viridian worked closely with the consultant and contractors to deliver a high-quality state of the art installation to the municipality.

Unique Problems

A dependable and proven integrated automation solution was required that could provide user friendly access for city staff and the ability to leverage the energy savings opportunities with a newly installed automation system.

System Solution

A Web-based plan, using state-of the art automation that allowed for control of HVAC, CO2, lighting points, VFD’s and integrated ice monitoring control. Laid out on an Ethernet backbone, the control system is Web-accessible from anywhere in the world and allows the town staff the ability to easily manage the building on site or remotely.

Results

A high quality State of the art BAS solution that will assist the site in achieving its LEED accreditation.
